NAIOP Charlotte awards Jon Morris its Award of Excellence

Jon Morris, partner – industrial development with Beacon Partners was honored with the second annual Award of Excellence by NAIOP Charlotte at its year end annual meeting at the Ritz-Carlton – Charlotte on December 16, 2009. This award recognizes an individual who positively influences our community and industry.A long-time member of NAIOP Charlotte, Mr. Morris is a past president of the chapter and is currently serving as a national board member of NAIOP. He has been instrumental in the on –goings of the association and with the speaker recruitment for the popular “Lunch with the Leader” program, where members sit down with key community leaders in an intimate luncheon setting.
Jon Morris also servers as chairman the Mecklenburg County’s Building Development Commission. He is an executive board member of the Dowd YMCA and recently joined the board of directors of the Dore Academy.
Mr. Morris has been with Beacon Partners since 1995 and has severed in a variety of leasing, development and asset management roles. Today he oversees Beacon’s industrial development acquisitions program and has asset management responsibilities for a number of key investments including Atando Business Park, 77 Overlook and International corporate Center.
