For the second year in a row, Beacon Partners and Childress Klein Properties are teaming up to coordinate the Six on Six Volleyball Classic. After the success of the inaugural 2008 event, the
Charlotte commercial real estate community will rally its collective developer, brokerage and vendor resources. Twenty four teams are slated to bring their competitive spirit to the volleyball court to follow up on a tournament that raised $60,000 last year.
“The event has two equally important goals that go way beyond dollars raised,” says Jon Morris of Beacon Partners. “Certainly, it is a ton of fun to marshall the Charlotte commercial real estate industry onto one field for an afternoon of fun; however, the greater goal is to give back to the community that so fundamentally affects our success. Given that Right Moves for Youth works within a partnership between Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police department, we believe their focus on educating at-risk children meshes perfectly with what Six on Six is trying to accomplish.”
Lean economic times for the real estate business and local economy make this year’s volleyball classic even more important. Fundraising has taken an even harder hit and Right Moves needs our support now more than ever.
Right Moves For Youth will receive 100% of the event’s proceeds. The half day tournament starts at noon and is being held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Freedom Park. The event is being coordinated by Paschal Productions and is also made possible by the support of the following commercial real estate teams and sponsors:
