Biotage recently leased 15,048 sq. ft. of flex space in Harris Corners Corporate Park at Exit 18 on I-77 north. The company’s facility upgrade at Harris Corners is underway and includes a significant investment in equipment, furniture, and fixtures. Biotage will create 21 new jobs in Charlotte and is currently recruiting new talent.
Vern Anderson of UGL Equis represented Biotage in lease negotiations. Chris Perri represented Beacon Partners, developer and owner of Harris Corners.
Before choosing Charlotte, Biotage considered several locations along the east coast. “We are excited about the relocation of our North American headquarters to Charlotte,” says Scott Carr, President of Biotage LLC. “The city provides access to a major international airport, which is very important to us as an international company. Charlotte also offers a strong labor pool, increased options for business service providers and the potential for reduced operating costs.”
