Charlotte real estate firm Beacon Partners has sold the Husqvarna research and development building in north Charlotte for $8.89 million.
The 64,637-square-foot building is on Statesville Road, adjacent to the Harris Corners office park. It serves as Husqvarna’s headquarters for research and development for the company’s North American division.
The Swedish outdoor-equipment manufacturer moved its North American headquarters to Charlotte in 2010, bringing 160 jobs.
The company’s headquarters is in the Three Harris Corners building, and it built the research facility on 9 acres nearby. The building includes office, R&D lab space and a warehouse component. Husqvarna is leasing the building through January 2021.
The buyer of the property was a Virginia limited liability company called ABMAR G K #1 that lists a New Jersey mailing address and is managed by Adam Cohen.
