In 1989, Beacon assembled approximately 90 acres of land along W. WT Harris Boulevard, a key thoroughfare in North Charlotte. The site had an excellent location in a growing area of the city that was underserved by quality business parks. Plans called for providing tracts to users for purchase or lease. We also hoped to construct build-to-suit projects for companies desiring to lease their buildings as well as multi-tenant space to lease for smaller users. Significant roadwork and utility infrastructure improvements were designed and completed, and Northwoods Business Park opened in November of 1990.
Northwoods Business Park Quick Facts:
"Newell Rubbermaid has worked with Beacon for about six years. As we have expanded our facilities and operations in the area I have been involved in much of the work that Beacon has done for Newell, and I have personally witnessed their professionalism, flexibility and dedication to customer satisfaction. Thanks to Beacon we have been successful in our growth efforts, and I would freely recommend them to anyone seeking office development services."
