2012 Six on Six Volleyball Classic
For the fourth year in a row, Beacon Partners and Childress Klein Properties teamed up to coordinate the Six on Six Volleyball Classic in Charlotte. After the success of the inaugural 2008 event, the Charlotte commercial real estate community rallied its collective developer, brokerage and vendor resources. The event pitted 24 teams from the Charlotte commercial real estate industry against each other for head-to-head competition, camaraderie and networking on behalf of Crisis Assistance Ministry, a Charlotte-based organization who provides assistance and advocacy for people in financial crisis, helping them move toward self-sufficiency. Crisis Assistance Ministry received 100% of the event’s proceeds.
Lean economic times for the real estate business and local economy make this year’s volleyball classic even more important. Fundraising has taken an even harder hit and Crisis Assistance Ministry needs our support now more than ever, but we are excited to report that the tournament raised more than $50,000 for Crisis Assistance Ministry. This year’s tournament champions was Trinity Partners and the runner up was CB Richard Ellis. The commercial real estate community’s participation in the Six on Six Volleyball Classic directly benefited this amazing organization.
