Jimbo serves as the Managing Partner for Beacon Partners’ Investment team, where he oversees the company’s internal and external investment activities, private placement offerings and manages private investor relationships. Prior to his start at Beacon, Jimbo worked as the Chief Investment Officer of Side Street Capital Real Estate, a Charlotte-based real estate, private equity company. Before joining Side Street, Jimbo had a 20-year career with Wachovia Bank, where he worked primarily within the areas of real estate commercial banking and real estate capital markets. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received his Masters of Business of Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jimbo serves on the Board of Visitors and Development Committee for the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center in Chapel Hill, NC . He is passionate about increasing public awareness to the center’s mission of bringing the best in cancer research, treatment and prevention to the people of North Carolina. Throughout his professional career, he has served on numerous local boards and committees.

A native of eastern North Carolina, Jimbo is an avid UNC Tar Heel fan and enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
