Chip’s primary role at Beacon is evaluation and acquisition of investment properties, with a particular emphasis on value added opportunities. Additionally, he serves as Asset Manager for a number of Beacon office and industrial properties, where he is responsible for commercial leasing, property management and investment analysis. Chip has four years prior experience in commercial real estate brokerage and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature from Southern Methodist University. Prior to joining Beacon in 2004, Chip lived in San Francisco and was a partner at a service and supply business in the hospitality industry.
Professional and Community InvolvementChip is a member of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR) and is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina. He has tutored students and taught Junior Achievement at Statesville Road Elementary School since 2004 and currently serves on the Right Moves for Youth Board of Directors, a Charlotte-based organization serving at risk children.
Personal InterestsIn his leisure time, Chip enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys, snow skiing, playing golf, reading and traveling.
